Non-profit arts organizations are experiencing a growing need for marketing investment in professional skill, technology, and data systems in order to keep up with the ever-changing environment. ArtsKC’s Audience Development Practice is designed to help arts organizations expand marketing capacity through programs that supply accessible consumer data and analysis, online promotion, risk capital, professional development, networking, and collaboration – resulting in equitable and inclusive marketing practices that grow and retain audiences year over year.

ARTS MARKETERS NETWORK

The Arts Marketers Network consists of bi-monthly meetings for networking, peer learning, and skills training. The AMN helps ArtsKC gain more understanding, allowing ArtsKC to tailor programming to marketing needs.

VIRTUAL MARKETING CLASSES

ArtsKC hosts weekly presentations and workshops led by industry experts in all areas of the marketing profession. Classes increase industry knowledge of marketing strategies, tools, and trends to help arts organizations grow their capacity to reach and build stronger, more diverse, and consistent audiences.

ArtsKCGo.com serves as a one-stop-shop for arts activity across the region. The website promotes all major artistic genres including Art, Music, Theatre, Film, Literary, Talks, Museums, Festivals and Classes. Event Calendar, Organization, Venue, and Artist Directories, and now Artistic Opportunities, Arts Education Programs, and a weekly e-newsletter.

MARKETING CAPACITY PROGRAM

The Marketing Capacity Program provides small to mid-sized arts organizations with an assessment of marketing capacity, professional development training, and risk capital for a marketing project.

AUDIENCE OPPORTUNITY TOOL

The Audience Opportunity Tool (AOT) shows arts groups how likely area households are to attend their events and provides sociodemographic characteristics of area neighborhoods.  The goal of the AOT is to empower arts and cultural leaders with knowledge about the local market that can help them to understand, attract and better serve their community.
