ArtsKC Announces 51 Organizations Receiving Mission Support Grants; With a Progressive Funding Approach

Kansas City Region (January 13, 2022) – ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council announces 51 nonprofit arts organizations will receive Mission Support Grants totaling $255,160 in funding. ArtsKC holds a long-term commitment toward a progressive funding program that drives equity in the region and prioritizes funding for small-mid size, diverse-led organizations.

ArtsKC and Local Arts Community Members Launch Arts Awareness Campaign

The campaign was created after witnessing the devastation the COVID-19 pandemic had on the Kansas City arts community.

ArtsKC Announces Thursday Night Arts – A Virtual Night with the Artists

Kansas City Region (January 27, 2021) – ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council partners with KC Crew to bring the free multi-week series, Thursday Night Arts, to the community. This revamp of the original program, which originally aired in the spring of 2020, brings four artists to the virtual stage each week to showcase talents, disciplines, and work.

ArtsKC Awards Catalyst Project Grants and Arts Education Grants

Kansas City Region (December 21, 2020) – ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council announces recipients of the Catalyst Project Grant, part of its financial support for the arts community. A total of $39,500 was granted to 16 nonprofit organizations. ArtsKC offered a special opportunity for Arts Education funding within the process, thanks to the generous support of the David T. Beals III Charitable Trust. ArtsKC received 31 applications, which were reviewed by a volunteer committee chaired by ArtsKC Board Member Michael Toombs.

ArtsKC Awards Catalyst Mission Grant to 35 Arts Organizations

ArtsKC Announces Ovation Grants for Organizations & Second Cycle of Rocket Relief for Area Artists

AFTA Releases Data on the Economic Impact of the Arts Greater Kansas City Total Economic Impact: $276 Million
Kansas City, MO (June 19, 2017) – Americans for the Arts (AFTA) just released its Arts & Economic Prosperity® 5 (AEP5) Study, including data for the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area. The total economic impact in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area by nonprofit arts and cultural organizations and their audiences is $276 million, a slight increase over the figure reported five years ago

ArtsKC Recommended for $20k NEA Grant
ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council has been recommended for $20,000 in funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for ArtsKCGo.com, a new arts and cultural events website that launched to the public on June 2. This funding recommendation is contingent upon final NEA review. The Council has consistently received NEA funding in the past for programs and services that promote arts and culture.

ArtsKC Launches ArtsKCGo.com
ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council will officially launch ArtsKCGo.com to the public tomorrow, June 2, 2017. The new digital guide to arts and cultural events is a free service provided by ArtsKC to help local arts and cultural organizations increase audience engagement. The guide gives community members and tourists alike a “go-to” place to find events in one place. ArtsKC will add events to the guide throughout the summer, and beyond.
