Arts in Prison www.artsinprison.org
Arts in Prison utilizes the arts to inspire positive change in the incarcerated, to reduce recidivism and to reconnect offenders to their communities. The arts are transformative. By practicing art inmates are able to recognize the good within them. Arts experiences encourage the incarcerated to look at things in a different way and to believe that change is possible. The arts are therapeutic. Practicing art opens doors to success for many who have never had those experiences.
